We at Break Thru Ministries believe in the concept of being in community as we strive to live and grow together in Christ’s love. The Cypress Fellowship is a community of believers birthed out of the Break Thru vision that we can be restored into the image of God and thereby maintain harmonious relationship to each other. We are continuously learning to live as Christ has instructed us to do while giving our gifts and talents back to others. If you are a believer in Christ looking for a different experience, call us at 562-431-1799 and leave a message for Dyan Howk to call you back with more info. We would love to have you come and experience a new way of being together in fellowship with the Lord.

The vision of Cypress Fellowship is to make disciples for Jesus Christ...equipping them for ministry. We desire to:

  • Embrace God’s word as the authority for life
  • Move as a people to a higher level of healing, holiness and wholeness
  • Go forward in the power of the Holy Spirit as loving and effective ambassadors of reconciliation and transformation to one another, our community and the world

In loving Jesus Christ and serving Him, we are committed to:

  • Live a life of worship and prayer
  • Uphold Holy Scripture through teaching, preaching and study
  • Raise our children to love Jesus Christ and serve Him
  • Honor Christian marriage and Godly singleness
  • Move in the power of the Holy Spirit, receiving His gifts for ministry
  • Love and care for one another through fellowship, nurture and God’s healing power
  • Share Jesus Christ through the witness of our lives
  • Glorify God through faithful stewardship of His provision

All believers in Jesus Christ are welcome to come and share their life as we gather in Him for refreshing and renewal each week. Call 562-431-1799 to leave a message for Dyan Howk for time and place.

Cypress Fellowship is a community devoted to loving Jesus Christ and serving Him as Lord and Savior. Each Thursday evening, we gather together to offer our lives in worship to the Lord… starting with a shared meal. As we eat and fellowship together we experience each other in a greater way. We listen as those wanting to share about what gives meaning to their life…sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry as we then come to worship and pray for each other.

And we can say that the evening never quite looks the same because we allow the Holy Spirit room to change our plans so that His evening proceeds forward. However, we do manage to always eat and share followed by some kind of spiritual activity whether that is worship through music, teaching, video, DVD, prayer, etc. or a combination of these things. We find that opening ourselves to one another and the Holy Spirit allows us to become renewed within our spirit and perhaps more able to manage our world as we conclude the evening and go back out into our larger community.

In addition to meeting together, we also look for ways of helping others within our local communities. That may be in the form of helping someone in a “hands on” kind of way or maybe offering a home visit for comfort and prayer. If you would like to experience a different way of being with the Lord and growing in Him, give us a call at 562-431-1799.
